NolanParker are Candice Nolan and Phil Parker. We are currently working on a series of bestsellers destined to blast their way to the top of the book charts and become major feature films. Well, we can dream.
Why did we start on this journey in the first place? Well, it all began with being told we didn’t have a job. Minding our own business at an education quango in 2010, David Cameron got voted into Government, and things went downhill from there.
Coming out of the big closure announcement meeting one said to the other, “We should write a book about this” and so ‘Kate and the Dirtboffins’ was born. With a few weeks left on our contracts, it was one way to fill the time! So conversations across the partition between desks became chapter upon chapter of a book. Nearly five years later we are still going and things are finally coming to fruition. Read the blog regularly to find out more.
Candice Nolan will only say that she is slightly younger than her sister.
Since studying psychology at university she has spent her life promoting everything from Egyptian history to high fashion. For a while this involved having Noddy Holder on speed-dial but now she prefers not to share the limelight and can be seen in the background of many films and television programmes.
Her passion for shopping and taking holidays means that work often gets in the way of these most important hobbies.
Phil Parker is only a little bit older than the ramshackle collection of cars he somehow considers sensible transport.
Having started out working for a vegetable research company that bears absolutely no resemblance to HIA in the book, his career involved looking after the wordy parts of various large organisations websites before he accidentally found himself writing and editing hobby magazines.
When not driving a keyboard he can be found building models of things and writing them up on his blog philsworkbench.co.uk , juggling or overestimating his abilities on the uni-cycle.

Thanks for stopping by Phil and Candice. Sounds like we are on the same path. Maybe we should hold hands.
OK, but not in public. People will talk…
Hello Candice and Phil! I nominated you and your blog for a Sunshine Award. You can read all about it here: http://robincoyle.wordpress.com/2012/04/04/affirmation-is-a-lovely-thing/
I hope you accept the nomination in the spirit with which I am giving it. It has been fun for me to receive!
Great meeting you. Thanks for visiting my blog. I look forward to sharing the journey.
I really enjoyed your blog, so I am nominating you for the Liebster Award. If you choose to accept you can put it on your blog, post eleven random facts about yourselves, answer the eleven questions I have posted, list eleven questions of your own for the eleven blogs that you then nominate for the award. Happy writing!
Sabina – Sounds good to me. Let’s see the questions ! Thanks.
They’re in my post “Liebster Award”.
